Help! I just got my Sydney Quilt Show 2013 entry form. I need to have my entry in by 8 March!

I haven't even decided what I want to enter this year. Fortunately the quilt/s don't have to be completed - I have until the 1 May for that. I do need photos and finished dimension though, so I am guessing a blank picture with 'to be announced' on it doesn't quite cut it. I have numerous UFO's and guess that is a good place to start. All of these quilts have either been started or fabric purchased...Just which one to pick?

But wait that's not all ........I also have (sorry no pics)
7. Log cabin - left over fabrics from a quilt I made my mom-in-law while she was battling cancer.
8. Clam shells - not likely as it is hand stitched - maybe 2016!
9. Flying geese - only sashing to be done
10. Anita's arrowhead - top finished - but not for the show

I love quilts shows - all that gorgeous eye candy and inspiration. It was a quilt show 4 years ago that started my addiction. It is such a big thrill to see your own quilt hanging among hundreds of others. My oldest son was so proud of my quilt last year, he stood by it for ages to tell quilt show visitors in was his mummy's. Too cute!

I am still elated that I won some prizes last year mostly with ' Big Red'. I still look at that quilt and am surprised how well it turned out. I am honestly not sure I can make something like that again, I'm afraid 'Big Red' may have been a one off. Saying that I do want to try and enter something special again this year.

I have to quilt January's Groove and finish at least 17 more scrappy trip along blocks for February's quilt for my self imposed 2013 quilt challenge. I need to finish the above UFO's as well as make bags, cushions and quilts to sell. I also have an ever growing collection of Craftsy classes to watch (good thing I have these classes forever to watch at my leisure). Somehow I have to manage life, the house, work and being a mummy and wife with all this stitching. Errr. Did I mention I will probably get my Canberra Quilters exhibition form soon?  A person doesn't need sleep right?

Try and do a little of what you love each day.

Jo

DUDE! They're all AMAZEBALLS!

If I had to choose from the photos I'd pick the one in the middle of the top row. Although I know the New York (is that it?), the middle bottom row, is always a crowd favourite.

I can't wait to see your whole cloth quilt. So jealous of your enormous talent!

If you figure out the right juggling equation, let me know! I have no idea how we're supposed to do it all! Especially when they expect me to get out of my jim jams!

PS. Did I tell you - I'm going to be the Canberra Quilt Show Exhibition Coordinator???? So I expect to see LOTS from you, oh and probably look at calling on you for some advice/help/laughs! ;) :)

Hey, Thanks for that..The middle top does photo well, it just ius sooo much piecing. tho I could make it smaller than the king sized I had planned.

.I was thinking about taking on some role with CQ but think I may have chickened out. Melinda was talking tome about VP....she says it doesn't have much time commitment but I think as I only can get to handful of meetings, I won't be able to do the role justice..Exhibition coordinator ?!?! That's fantastic...count me in for helping - I'd love to.

I can't wait to see what you decide to submit. I still have no clue. Need to get cracking on my March quilt!

You should totally do something - even if it's just something small, great way to get involved and meet more quilty types. I heard that the VP is a HUGE amount of work. According to a couple of people I've heard talk about it all the grunt work that isn't covered in someone else's role falls on the VP... Would also be hard if you can't make it to all the meetings - people will just sign you up to do things ;)

The role of the raffle coordinator for the exhibition still needs filling - apparently it's a bit of leg work though getting the raffle books out to everyone and taking the raffle quilt around to the various places for displaying, so I'm not sure how you'd manage with that. They did mention that if I had a "Friendship Group" (I have no idea what that is!) that they would be the best people for me to consider helping on the hanging day with the judging - so if you've got the time/desire wanna be part of my Friendship Group? ;) :) (Feel like I'm back at Primary School... )
